Our Wonderful Evening at The Goat and Tricycle – A Dog-Friendly Gem in Bournemouth

If you're looking for a fantastic pub that truly welcomes dogs, then you’ve got to check out the Goat and Tricycle in Bournemouth. We recently went there for dinner with our pups, and the experience was brilliant for all of us.

From the moment we arrived, the dogs were greeted with lots of love and fuss, plus water bowls were quickly provided, ensuring they were comfortable from the get-go. What really stood out was the option to buy them doggy beer, a fun and thoughtful touch that made the whole evening feel even more special for our furry companions. Jet absolutely loved it....Kane has always been fussy though!

As for the food, it didn’t disappoint. I had the cheese and bacon burger with some incredible chunky chips—crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, just how they should be. My mum went for the chicken burger, which she said was delicious, and my dad chose the liver and bacon with mash. He really enjoyed it, especially the creamy mash and perfectly cooked liver. The pub serves up traditional, hearty meals in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere, making it the perfect spot for both a casual dinner and a good catch-up.

I’ve recommended the Goat and Tricycle to many of our guests at The Ashleigh, and they’ve all come back happy. Now, after experiencing it for myself, I can see exactly why! The food, the drinks (including their great selection of ales), and the dog-friendly welcome make it a must-visit if you're in Bournemouth.

Whether you’re in search of a warm pub with great traditional food or a place where your dogs will be as welcome as you are, the Goat and Tricycle has it all. We’ll definitely be heading back soon.....I actually think my parents are there now!
